Wow. That's very interesting. Rare, too, I'll bet. Hope they're all ok! And, though I guess it's not as important as peoples' safety, I hope your backyard and all is ok, too.
And quit with the suspense, would ya?! Go ahead and tell us about it!!George Grand wrote: »

Okay, pictures turned out TERRIBLE. We were using my roommates camera and he was holding it way over his head to take the pics. Not to mention it was about 12AM and we were 3 sheets to the wind. =P
Here are 2 of them, you can definitely make it all out. The thing actually never hit the ground which is weird. I didn't even hear what had happened, all of a sudden the power just went out and it was pouring rain the whole time. Can't believe the guy survived.
And yeah, thank God it didn't crash into the house. -

So it didn't even catch on fire, huh?
That's a fortunate guy. Must've had a guardian angel with him.George Grand wrote: »

Be sure not to send those pics to National Geographic....
Lucky guy but those are some really bad pics. I can't make out a thing. -

More details:
5x Drunk Driver
Apparently depressed at the sudden loss of his brother in Alaska earlier this year. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but I guess they're thinking alcohol may have played a factor.
Yeah, and I'm really sorry about the pic. As I said I didn't take them, my camera was completely out of batteries. =\ I probably wouldn't have wanted to take any if someone had died. -
Here's a better pic from somebody on another forum I visit.. They say they live 4 blocks away, and came down to have a look...Ludicrous gibs!
-
I think there was way too much going on to get a real good picture of it. If only we had a way to get back there when it was all going on.
Here's some better pics with a good camera. -
They must've been using a strong flash for that 2nd picLudicrous gibs!
-
Does anyone else think that the smiley associated with ":" and "o", does not really fit the expression?Ludicrous gibs!
-
It is no less than amazing that the power cables didn't break! That's unbelievable!
Brings new meaning to drinking and 'driving', eh?
Glad no one was killed.George Grand wrote: »

Doesn't even look like the nose even hit the ground. Probably not "THAT" much damage to the plane, unless it was effed up during removal from the wires."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
