Separate amp

Hi all, I have a pair of RTi70's with a CSi30 center. Have been thinking about getting a separate power amp. Cost would be around $900 or so but I understand that the actual cost is between $1,000 to $1,100. The rep is just opting to give me a good deal. The amp will be made by Anthem. This store is a high end outlet that has been around for many years so they should carry quality gear. My question is this, do any of you feel that the amp will really do the system justice for the money spent? I'm guessing that the answer will be yes but will it? Just looking for some advice here. The Polk forums are great, thanks for any assistance. I should add that the receiver is a 100 watt unit.

Here were my impressions when I first purchased my Amp. (a quote from a question I posted to the forum after getting my amp and hearing it for the first time.) All in all for movies and music the upgrade was well worth it.The sound is much cleaner at a higher volume though. As you turn it up, you hear things as clearer, but it doesn't really register as louder. I know it sounds strange but that is the way it seems so far.

Thats great guys, this is what I thought would be the case and pretty much the sales rep tried to tell me too. It's always nice though to get some confirmation. Thank you again.

Anthem makes quality gear. You should be pleased and if not, I'm sure there's someone would be happy to take it off your hands."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Somehow, I think you just could be right.

I will see what I can find, on the other hand, even at the cost of new, it will likely give me years of good service too. I'll see what seems to work..
