I have a 6.1 setup, and I need just one monitor 30 (black) for the rear back surround. I am currently running monitor 40's, cs1, and monitor 30's for surr. l/r, but have a r15 for the surr. back.

Does anyone know where I can purchase just one speaker?

Thanks

I'd say you could probably buy just one speaker anywhere. However, it'll probably come with another one and be marketed as a 'pair'. :p

Seriously, though, someone here might be willing to part with one. Or, maybe you can find someone else who also wants just one speaker and y'all can split a pair.

Or you have the option to use a center as the single speaker. I think many have gone this route.

I was thinking of moving the cs1 center to the back, and getting a cs2 for the front, and returning the monitor 30's for monitor 40's.

Is there any difference between the monitor 40 speaker, and the cs1 center?
They both seem to have identical speakers, but not sure on the tweeter, and the box is obviously different.

I know Circuit City used to price their speakers "per each" might give em a call.

If you go to the store, they list the prices as each. However, i dont know if you have to buy them in pairs, since a pair comes in each box. When i bought my Monitor 30s, they checked to make sure two were inside, maybe thats because they take one out if needed.

If my memory serves me, most Polk speakers (as well as many others) are priced by "each".

Still are I guess, see? Polk Monitor 30s $199.99 each.
