    Hi swchma,

I don't have them myself, but there are some reviews on the Home Audio side.

I've been loving mine, I think they're about the best you can do in that price bracket.

Hi Swchma, and welcome to Club Polk.

If you've already bought the speakers, then you should have already made up your own mind by judging with your own ears. I say congratulations on your new set of rti8's and i hope you enjoy them. No reason to beat yourself over the head w/ buyers remorse that shouldn't exist in the first place.

Make sure you set them up right, with proper amplification (they do not sound anywhere close to their potential with a cheap receiver), and a decent subwoofer properly calibrated. The RTi series is amazing value for money.

    I would agree !!

Hey man, congrats on your speakers,Ive owned a set for about two years, and I really like em.I use mine just for music, two channel of course,I do have my tv,vcr/dvd hooked into my system, but very seldom watch a movie with them,I do listen to a lot of concert dvd's on em...and they do sound good!I run a 10"onix sub with them,it gives them a good fill-in,in the lows.I run some good power ,carver amp, with a moded carver pre,and a music hall cd with an opa627 upgrade, the cd player seem to settle down the tweets a little bit.Only thing I dont like about them is the harsh tweeters, and the silver faceplates, looks cheesy. But I have more than once thought about upgrading to some lsi9's,or even some 15's,and I just cant pull the trigger, the lsi's are smoother, but I do throw on some rock music, and thats about all my wife listens to,and the rti's just do a better job in that department.Anywho, enough about me,let us know your thoughts after you have logged some hours on them.

Picked my 8's up around November 2005, and am pushing them with the 3805 Denon as well. (Thanks opus ;)) I don't have any other speakers yet besides these, but man.. playing the Matrix just sounds AMAZING. I love it. They are usually run around -10 dB's, and the clarity and power is great. I paid $300 or so for them, and I bet you couldn't get anything even in the same ballpark for that low of a price.

Good buy, and hopefully i'll be able to land a CSi5 soon and also get a sub to compliment them. Until then, 2 channel stereo for DVD's works just fine!!!

    happy in kansas with 'em.
