I prefer to simply urinate on my op-amps. You want to talk about a tube sound? Hell, try my tube smell!

Some of those comments are pretty damn funny.

Speaker wire thicker than schlongs!
My favorite quote from that site
And another.....my dick is still thicker than my speaker wire. i hope this sounded good. it's slightly more technical sounding, but still completely unprovable.

Speaking of potential BS products....can anyone give me a technical explanation of how cable elevators such as these can offer any kind of improvement to a system?
I mean what's next? Mounting your amp to the ceiling so the electrons can flow downhill to the speakers? :rolleyes:HT

Static electricity builds up on the carpet and the risers isolate the cable from it or..uhh..I dunno. Maybe hell has lots of electromagnetic interference..and the further your cables are from hell, the better they sound. The Devil is in the details, I guess. Two Channel Main

Well sure. If you have heard cable burn in changes (I have) then you want you cables burnt in. Now, if you shake those cables around you end up changing the positioning of the shield with respect to the signal line. The cable would have to be burned in again. Now, if they are laying on the vibrating floor there is much more chance of deforming the cable than if they are strung in the air. A better solution is to use elastic string and hang from the ceiling. That way they vibrate very little.
Well, you did ask...

I guess that seem reasonable.
So is it safe to assume that since my system is in my finished basement, with concrete under the carpet, that these would not be of any benefit to me?HT

Mine wasn't water, it was during a power outage when the town's sewer pumps were without power.
