I've been a big fan of the Evil Dead series for years. I just got back from Tennessee where I visited one of the filming sites from the original Evil Dead. Remember the cabin? *all of the basement scenes were filmed elsewhere* Well, it burned down in the 80's. But I still went there. The remains of the cabin consist of a pile of burnt trash/relics *depending on your point of view* and the chimney. My buddy and I went digging and found a part of a can of white paint which I believe was used in the cabin. *some walls were painted white in the movie* And some broken plates that were definitely from the same set that they used in the movie!!! It was a geeks heaven. I walked away with a couple shards of glass and a decent sized stone from the fireplace.

The best part is, the site was not more than 10 miles from where my buddy's mom lives. We'll be going back for sure...

We got some film showing the driveway that led down to the cabin and the remnants and surrounding area. I'll post pics of the film and the plates once my buddy gets them on his computer.

Dude, I worship the Evil Dead series. I have countless posters, action figures etc. from that trilogy. I even went to Bruce's book signing a few months ago up in Cleveland. Ohhh yesss!

I would give my left one, literally, for any relic off that house. You have no idea what that would mean to me. If you guys plan on going back there for souveniers I'd be more than happy to compensate you for your time. Also, if you don't mind giving me some info on the site, shoot me a PM.

I wouldnt mind a PM either my brother. I loved those movies, espcially the last 2 and seeing as I live in Tennessee it would make a good trip.

God dude, we could quote that movies all day long. There are tons of priceless one liners in there. One liners that only Bruce Campbell can pull off. If they ever make a movie out of the video game Duke Nukem, Bruce has to play that part. That game takes a lot of attitude from Evil Dead and especially Army of Darkness.

So let me go ahead and say..damn. The reason I went to Tennessee was to help out my long time friend through the end of a relationship. Well, to ice the cake, she turned off the net at his place. So not only can we not get the footage or pics up on the net, now he can't dig up the site with the directions. I'm searching as we speak. If I find it, I'll post it..Otherwise..I dunno. It's an obscure site, good luck fellow deadites...
