Wanted: Polk Monitor 10B or 12 series

Back in the late 80's, I purchased a pair of Monitor 10B speakers for $750. Due to unforseen circumstances, I eventually (and painfully) had to let them go.

I currently have a pair of RT1000P speakers and they are great! However, call me "old-fashioned", but they do not compare to the raw power and sound of the old 10B's. I could max out an Onkyo 150W amplifier with 0 distortion :eek: from the speakers.

I am looking to purchase a set of 10B or 12 series speakers in very good or mint condition.

    There is someone here on CP that has a set of RTA 12s for sale. You might search the Flea Market for them or maybe they will chime in. I can't recall who it was.

    BTW, "old-fashioned" is a good thing when it comes to vintage Polks. :D

    Looks like I came to the right place....

    I must admit I would be a LITTLE nervous trusting a set of speakers to a major shipping company. I see how they handle some of the fragile packages my company sends out. Any guarantees or special class from FEDEX you are aware of?

    I am not against a road trip, however, due to my work schedule, it could take a while to get there.

    Mr Soul - I have a pair of Monitor 10Bs that I love very much. I don't listen to them as much as I should and would love for them to go to somebody that would apprecaite them. If you agree to become a regular member and pick them up, I would like to offer you mine.
