When I got home from work yesterday my receiver had no sound. My nefew was watching tv in surround and said it was real loud and then he heard a pop and the sound quit. Any suggestions? Is there an internal fuse or anything else that I should check?

    Mike,

Not really familiar with Kenwood. Unplug the unit, pop the hood, dont grab the capacitors, if there is no fuse on the back then maybe inside, however, the little guy might of fried something, if I remember right it was going into protect mode. Take a look for obvious burn/melting on the board. If something is there it should just pop out to you, if not, well, lets just say its not a good thing. Is it still under warranty, if so, I would not go inside, just call Kenwood.

Finally working again. I unplugged my whole system for a while and after I plugged everything back in it started working again. It must have reset itself.

Good deal, btw, that amp we were talking about is gone. I really think you may need to get an amp with the RTi150's. The Kenwood seems to be heating up, its bad for it and the speakers.
