I was visiting my local Good Will today. and i found a pair of Speakerlab SQ bookshelf speakers in really good condition. I didn't know anything about Speakerlab speakers. after doing some research.. i found out that they are from Seattle. and offer DIY speakers. kind of interesting. anyway the speakers sound ok. two way design. foam surrounds.. i got for $12 light oak vineer (sp). grilles in great condition.

just wanted to pass it along.. not a great find. but still. it's fun finding a pair of speakers in good condition for little money.

Speakerlab has made some very fine speakers in their history. Speakerlab 7's, super 7's and their Cornerhorns were highly regarded in their day back in the 70's. Not cheap stuff. They used quality components. They aren't what they used to be now but still have some pretty good kits. If I remember right they had closed shop for awhile but came back and started offering the DIY stuff again. Nice find.
