Looking at buying this:

http://www.buy.com/prod/PureAV_Power_Console_PF60_13_outlet_programmable_Silver_Series/q/loc/101/10409762.html?adid=17662

Seems like a really good price, most stores have it for $750. I've felt pretty good about all my audio purchases in the past 8 months or so, but this one I'm gonna need people to tell me I need it :)

Any opinions from those who have this type of power conditioner?

Oops, I guess I should have specified the price - they have it for $199 + $24 shipping.

But also get $15 off for New Customers using the second "Coupon Code" listed here:

    http://www.fatwallet.com/store.php?store=6

Total is $208.56 from buy.com - it's a little more after shipping from Digitally Unique, which is where I assume you're getting $187 from - however I've never heard of that site before.

Yea everytime I add it to the cart its 199$...seems uber cheap far less then anywhere else. Its a great price I havent tested any of those out but if anyone else has one how do you like it? because for that price I would consider one.

Son of a ****! I just bought the PureAV PF30 for my two channel rig because at the moment I didn't want to spend much more than $100 on a power conditioner. Now the damn PF31 is $129, it was $199 when I placed my order for the PF30.

On another note. the PF30 that I bought surprised me with it's build quality, it was actually better than I expected. Buy.com packed it well, shipping wasn't very fast, but it was free so I can't complain too much.

I can't comment too much on its performance. I've been too busy building my sub to really spend some time with it.

I bought one from Brett to use in a system this year. I would buy one for my own system if I needed it right now.

That's cheap... ebay price is about $300, so I just scored one for myself. It can't handle the current for my bryston's but it'll do fine for the TV, Xbox, DVD & 2 channel rig.

Wow. If one had the money just laying around, it may be worth buying just for the cool looks, lol. Certainly is a huge discount.

I'm running a Tripp-lite LCR-2400 with no problems. Got it new off the bay for $120. You can run your hot water heater off of it if you need to.

Yea, I trust Tripp-lite stuff. Nothing fancy except 20 amps of clean power. There's nothing to be pretty about electricity anyway. I believe the less complicated something is; the more reliable. Why buy fancy lights and automatic stuff when all you need is a steady, clean sine wave.

Thanks... I wasn't really interested anyway. My $5 staples surge protector works fine for me. Someday I might buy the tripplite, but it's not way up there on my priority list...

huh- i was noticing that there was no advertised amperage for that belkin, apart from the fuse rating. Guess that explains why.

tryrrthg, wait, save a bit more give the Blue Circle a try, I know a decent online dealer who gave me a good deal on mine. It works, resolution is increased in all areas. I bought mine with the generic hospital cord to the wall, get the upgraded cord.

If you have sufficient funds, DIY or purchase a balanced power solution over any filter based unit.

If you are have a 15 amp line to your system, get the BP-2; if you have a 20 amp line, get the BP-2.5. Run your entire system through the unit. Based on personal experience, I would also recommend adding the HFC-30 high current filter and the Bybee Quantum Purifiers upgrades to the unit.

Here are some threads I created on the subject:

    Balanced Power

    Tweak tweak tweak
