There is a pair of LS 90's for sale close to me. Does anyone use these and can I use these somewhere in my current set-up. Also, they are $450.00 is this a fair price. Thanks, Steve

That price seems a little high. But If they're inexcellent condition, I would say they are worth that much based on their sonic merits.
I feel they blend well the my CS400i center. Since they have a trilam tweeter similar to what's in your current L/R, I would guess that they would match your center just as well (that is, if you're satisfied with how your current speakers blend). You may want to check out a CS400i whether you keep the RT2000i's or LS90's up front.
As for the LS90's sound - when given adequate power (separate high power amps, not a receiver), they produce a big, dynamic sound that stays clean and uncompressed at high volumes. They have good imaging/soundstage. I like the trilaminate tweeter, so for me the highs sound right - detailed and involving, but not bright or harsh. They are a little bass heavy, so room characteristics and placement can be tricky (need to be away from wall and corners as much as possible). Of all the speakers I've owned (LS90s, Athena, NHT, Mission, Infinity, Advent, Yamaha, Radio Shack), they are the most enjoyable and involving.
I've only briefly heard the RT2000i's in a store, but I'm sure they sound great. I'd also be curious to hear from others who have experience with both.

I'll ive kudos to the LS90. that price is on the high side of fair, but fair. they better be in good shape though.
it will match with the center you have fine, not perfect, but neither are your rt2000's either, so ces la vie.
the better the amplification, the more they will reward you.
I use mine in my home theater, and they perform spectacularly in that respect. I've enevr tried them in my 2 channel rig. I should for sh*ts and giggles.
I've never heard em distort, and it was not for lack of trying. underpowering these is far more dangerous than overpowering them.Living Room 2 Channel -
