SVS PC-ultra and Denon 3806 receiver

I have ordered an SVS PC-ultra to go with Denon 3806 receiver, polk LSiC, polk LSi15's, and some full size old Cerwin Vegas in the rear. I have an old velodyne CT-100 in the front, close to the TV. My question is would it be OK to use an RCA Y splitter and continue to use the velodyne with the new sub or would this be a bad idea? I plan to move the new sub to the right corner of the room. My family room is certainly not ideal shape for a home theater set up, ie cathedral ceiling with a L shaped room in which both the dining room and the living room run together. I have my front speakers placed further apart than generally recommended due to the shape of the room and the fact that the fireplace resides where I would have put the TV.
I guess I could experiment myself but I was just fishing for opinions. The old sub I am sure is much inferior to the new one.
Another question is the Denon receiver has a program that calculates equilizer setting in the receiver called audissey{maybe misspelled} by taking microphone readings at six different locations in the listening room. When I use this program would this negate the need to run the PEQ and SPL meter readings to calibrate my sub. If no one knows I will ask SVS.
Help clean up the city, eat a pigeon.

dunno if you'll have cancellation issues, but, i'd run the pc ultra alone. don't flub up its performance. maybe if you could cross over the velo to only play the upper bass tones, such as anything above 100-150 hz?

ugh. just use the SVS. No subwoofer has any business playing anything over 70-80hz, especially when your system is made of great stock such as the lsi15.

    60hz. preferably =)
