Jeeze, a third of the posts in this thread belong to you; and at what value added? I'm all for a derail/humor post but good grief man...sometimes brevity is a GOOD thing.
I don't want to offend you but some times the posts with" " or " " or a "+1" are unneccessary.
PLEASE don't take it as a slap on the hand, just some friendly advice.

i see your point. but everything he posts reflects crowd participation. he's openly made known he is after the polk master status, but he adds knowledge here and there. maybe i'm defending him because i'm guilty of the same. i don't feel i'm in the wrong. my faults are derailment of threads and nothing more.

perhaps the polk "status" below a person's name should not be indicative of that person's audio/visual knowledge. rather be it a gage of one's participation level. i'm sure some newbies could prove better versed in wisdom pertaining to the hobby. just because one has a high post level count could possibly prove nothing more than the fact that person is fun, or perhaps has nothing else in life to do with his/her time. though i'm sure some are precise in conveying one's superiority.

Look, guys, I'm not making a personal judgement....I've got nothing against audiobliss and I've said much the same thing to others, most notably Sid.
I have no issues with a funny post or derailing a thread here and there or anything else.....but if you own a third of the posts in one thread with nothing of any real value added, IMHO, that's a little excessive. It's my opinion, I'm not making a federal case nor demanding anyone to change thier habits, I'm just stating MY thoughts.

I'm not sure where I said I'm after the Polk Master title, but I guess I might have. I don't really care for the title, or the one I have now, because neither accurately reflect on me. I mean, I have NO piece of any kind of equipment with the Polk name on it (and now I remember that my laptop has Polk speakers - but I don't think that really counts), and I know barely anything at all about audio. I'm not really that crazy about having a high post count, either. I mean, I'm glad we have it on CP as opposed to some other forums that don't, because it often times does reflect accurately on the poster, but my loquacity comes naturally. I'd have to admit I'm not this verbose in person, but my post count is not what motivates me to be so on here. I just am.
I don't see the post count as meaning anything except perhaps that the poster has been around long enough to prove he's not an instigator, at least at some level is a solid member, and has at least an interest in audio, if not a ton of knowledge about the subject. I believe (hope) no one would question if those three things are true about me, so I don't see that there could be any kind of selfish motivation for racking up posts. It's kinda fun, and it puts a smile on my face when I'm called a post **** (of course when there's a smiley to go along with the accusation), and it's fun to play the part. I try to put that humorous nature aside in more serious threads so as not to be a disturbance, but I obviously enjoy playing with it in all the other threads.
Perhaps I should post less and think more (well, I know I should think more...). I would really like to read more and learn more about audio so I can make more relevant and helpful posts, but I can't seem to find the time to become more knowledgeable. But then again I have enough time to be a 'post ****', so I guess I have no excuse; I guess I just don't have my priorities set up quite right.
Anyways, I hope that made sense.George Grand wrote: »

And just for the record, I haven't taken it that way. So far it's just been friendly advice, and I appreciate that.George Grand wrote: »
