I got my friend to buy 4 DX 12's. They need to go behind the seet of a 86 Chevy pickup. I have come up with a design and I was hoping you could tell me if it would work. The box is 59"x15.75"x4"x5.25"x15.799" (W x H x top depth x bottom depth x front) the back of the box is flat and the front is sloped. I plan on using 1" of MDF for the front baffle and 3/4" MDF for the rest of the box. I figured that if I put 4 DX's in this box that they would have .7 ft3. If I put 4lbs of polyfill in the box will they work write. Or would I be better off going with 3 DX's wich would recieve .93 ft3 or I could make the box smaller to get the .85 ft3 of space. What do you think I should do. The subs will be getting between 1,200 to 1,375 watts altogether from a JBL BP1200.1. Do you think this will be compitition worthy?

So say the box is 15 3/4" high with a bottom depth
of 7.5" on the bottom with a top depth of 5.25" and width of 59.5". Can you figure a box for the 3 or 4 12 for me please.

How much wider would the box need to be to supply the air space needed for the 4 12s. My friend kinda has his heart set (as do I) on 4 12's. And if we acomplish this, with the JBL amp powering the qortet, do you think the system will be compition woorthy? Could you give me a gues on about how loud it will be?

The top and bottom depth wouldn't matter if I made the box wider right? I think I can make the box about 60-67" wide, I was going to put the amp back there but I will just put it in the seat. Would that give me enouf air space. My plans for using the JBL got dumped, so could you recomend a amp that would push the 4 12s and cost around 4-500 dollars. I was looking at Interfire or Hifonics. Are these good amps? What other amps fit the bill?
DO YOU THINK THIS SYSTEM WOULD BE COMPETITION WORTHY.

It all depends on where you'll be competing...

The install and set- up can really make or break the system so it's hard to say exactly how competitive it might be until you go to some shows.

Well we decieded to go with three 12 inch momo's instead. Kinda sucks cause thats what I wanted to go with. Guess I'll have to redo my system plans too. Do you think the 3 momo's will be allot louder than the 4 12' DX's. 12-1375 watts push 3 momo's? Thanks
