I can only give you feedback on the NAD T773, I never heard the Arcam. I've owned the NAD T773 for almost 2 years now & I can honestly say that it is absolutely incredible. Good old NAD sound - they built their reputation on it. Super sweet & globs of power. It won't even flinch driving those 4 ohm speakers. Built like a tank, 58 lbs. Nice features, nothing fancy just what you need to get the job done. I would have a hard time making my wallet $500 lighter going w/ the Arcam. Give both a a listen & pull the trigger on one. My monies on the NAD. Hope this helps.

O1 is right on target re the sound. And more power driving my 9s and 7s and SW than I'd ever use, extremely musical, and a great match with the LSi series. Two different friends want to buy my system as a "high-end" theatre-in-a-box" thing. Might do it and go to 15s and Outlaw combo.

The price was right, about $1,400 for the 773 through an authorized dealer over the internet.

    Two downsides:
    1. The incredible amount of time that I've spent tweaking the accoustics to take full advantage of the system's capability.
    2. Very precise sound, once you get the accoustics right. If the studio work has flaws, boy does it come out. My Yamaha/Paradigm system seems much more forgiving.

It is highly subjective, to me the AVR300 has better sound quality(if you can hear the difference). The NAD has more power for sure.

I went down the other day to listen to the avr300.He hooked it up to a set of Paradigm towers and frankly i was not impressed, brought my friend with me and we both listen to the amp for about an hour as we left he told me his ipod in his truck sounded better. There was only 2 channel hook up but from what iv'e heard about this amp theres no way i would put down the money there asking. My Denon sounds much better i guess its what speakers you match it with and that amp with Paradigm did not sound good at all.

that's why it's so important to get out there & do some listening & comparing. None of this stuff is cheap, you want to get it right the first time. Make sure you give the NAD T773 a listen, you will be extremely impressed.

That's very interesting, last year I went shopping for speakers. I listened to some Paradigm's powered by a NAD separates and they sounded great. Then I listened to a pair of Energy Veritas powered by an AVR300. They sounded so sweet that I ended up buying the speakers.
