These speakers are in near perfect condition. No scratches anywhere. Grill cloths in excellent condition. These are the black professional series (NS1000M). I bought them from the original owner who had them for 25 years. The speaker connections have been upgraded to accept banana plugs or spades. Hearing is believing. You can compare them next to a set of Carver AL III speakers I also have. They compare very favorably with the Carvers. Bring your own amp if you like. Currently feeding them is a Yamaha M-80 amplifier. Can also feed them with a Rotel RB-980BX if desired. Local pickup desired in the Seattle area. Can supply photos for serious inquiries.

Price: $1K

After googling these and reading this article, I can say those look to be some pretty interesting speakers. Just FYI, it'd be a lot of help if you'd go ahead and post some pics and give us an e-bay or audiogon ID so we can check your feedback.

    Good luck with your sale!

Thanks. I'll see if I can figure out how to post some picks tomorrow. My ebay name is Steamer808. Never sold any place else other than craigslist. I've only done buying on ebay. Don't do paypal and don't wanna. That's why I'd prefer local pickup.

Fantastic sounding speakers! I had a set of NS-690's for years with the berillium tweeters. The weak point on these is the tweeters. Replacements are almost unobtainable. I had several pairs of NIB tweeters in my stash that I sold this summer and the cheapest pair went for $350 plus shipping. If the tweeters are solid, these are an incredible monitor.

Thanks, the drivers are all solid for sure. I wouldn't sell them but have a plan on putting a second set of ribbon speakers in the rear for my home theater. I love music but the home theater is at the top of my list. Something has to go.

I can vouch for this guy. He's elderly so be patient with him. :D

Steamer is one of the West coast's premier speaker brokers. I think he may have gone through more speakers than Noel. Well, maybe not. :)

The only part of my body that's still working right are my ears. I guess that makes me only almost elderly.
