What did you change this year?

This has been THE year for me....and I have to thank (or blame?) this forum for helping me get here:
-Home Theater: I finished my basement in January; with the move of the HT to it's new place downstairs, I added the RTi8's (replaced some Pioneer towers), SVS sub (replaced a Sony) and JBL surrounds (replaced Sony satellites). I also added the Denon DVD to replace my old Sony.
I think I am where I want to be with my HT; I tried adding external amps for the front stage, but realized it did not make a good enough difference from my Denon and returned them. I have thought of adding Polk's for the surrounds, but everytime I am about to pull the trigger I convince myself that I don't need them....maybe next year.
-2 Channel: This is very recent.....it started with the SDA 1B's I got from Noel; this was my "I quit smoking so I can get anything I want" project. I started with a HK-3480 and a Denon CD changer DCM-280; in less than two months, got the Polk XM tuner, a Cambridge Audio CD Player, and Adcom separates; latest addition was the Dared SL2000A tube pre. I am very happy with the sound and will probably stay like that for a while....though I sometimes dream with BIG SDA's....:)_________________________________________________

I added LSi7's as my rear speakers. (upgraded from the RM-6600's that I had up there)
I know you should expect alot going from a HTiB speaker to the LSi series, but since it was the rear speakers I was not expecting much. Man was I wrong. Those who think the rear speaker quality doesn't matter really need to re-evaluate that position.
Got my Amp fixed and fully running.
When purchased, I bought it as a 4 channel amp. I knew going in that 2 channels were not working. I just got the board back a few weeks ago and am now running a 6 channel amp and all channels are at max power.... (also found a ground loop problem that was causing some buzzing, so amp is very quiet now as well )
Upgraded all speaker wire from 16ga. lamp cord to 10gauge speaker cable from Blue Jeans Cable. - Oddly enough the largest change came from my shortest length of wire (about 7'). Going from my amp to my sub the change was immidiate and bass is MUCH MUCH tighter now than it was. I have not pulled the sub apart yet to replace the wire inside the sub, but that will be an upgrade for next year. Funny thing is I really didn't spend much more to get the 10ga. wire than I did to get the lamp cord. Guess it is just knowing where to look.....
New stands (BT-77's from Crutchfield) for my new rear speakers.
New DVD player (toshiba 3960) modded by madmax for excellence in CD playback.
I think thats it (or at least all I admitting to for now. )
MichaelMains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)

Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms) -
Latest additions; bought the Carver Amazings, a Halfer amp and a nice cheap Little Dot chinese tube headphone amp.
I need to slow things down for next year. Also, I am very glad I decided to add those 20 amp circuits into the home. I have the Carver system hooked up to a standard outlet, and all the lights in the house dim if I play it loud. -

I'm sorry I read 602 he first time. I love the DVD. It is much nicer than the 302. I bought Queen Night at the Opera today and it sounds fantastic. Much worth $100Matthew
