I was surfing Audiogon and stumbled into this gorgeous pic:
http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/auc.pl?ampstube&1131070948
Looks and build seem to be A++, price is reasonable.
Sound Quality?? Anyone has one?

I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

We had quite a lengthy thread on that piece when it first came out. As I recall, the consensus was that the performance didn't live up to the price or the looks.George Grand wrote: »

In the guys description he says that everyone is selling their MKII and rushing out to buy the new MKIII. So yes, I presume the MKIII has come out.George Grand wrote: »

All I know is they are over-hyped and the resale value is very poor.Political Correctness'.........defined

that bad, eh, Sean?
Not that I am in the market for another two channel integrated.
I just pulled the trigger on a 7 ch. amp - Gemstone Blue Diamond. I am giving it a try, since I know the owner, and he's been a straight shooter with me. The amp has been around for a year, and haven't read/hear anything negative about it, so, I am giving it a spin.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. it's as controversial here as it is at audiogon.

It made a big splash in the early days, but after a few months when the hype was over people were scrambling to sell them. At its price point there are many options that have reputable names, top intergrateds at that price point include
SimAudio i-5, i-8
Plinius 8200, 9200
Ayre
YBA passion
Classe CAP 151
just to name a few...these have all, aside from the SimAudio i-8 been out for a number of years and continue to perform to this day.
