Im curious on how everybody calibrated their subs ??? I would like to calibrate mine , but dont know how to do it correctly. Right now Im running 60 hz from the sub as well as 60 from the crossfade , and is at 0 db.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well, for level adjustment, I'd (initially, at least) follow the manufacturer's suggestion. I have an SVS PB2+ and their recommendation worked perfectly; I suspect that Hsu does also.

After calibrating each of my speakers (there's nine, plus the sub) I kick the sub up a notch or two above the reference level of the others; I do the same for the center channel for additional dialog volume.

I have a Radio Shack sound pressure level meter (about $40.00) that works well and is easy to use.

While I agree with having the sub a couple db above flat, I set my center flat or maybe just a little lower. The reasoning is that it effectively increases the output of the surrounds and seems to draw you in a little more. Be careful not to overdo this trick though.

    Just my .02

Scott: I understand your comment on the center channel and how it affects imaging but (there's always a 'but'...) there are significant quantities of DVD's on the market that are not engineered to effect easily understandable dialog. I've seen many posts on this subject on different forums in last couple of years so it is a problem for many people.

I also activated the 'dialog enhancer' on my DVD recorder/player but the center channel boost is still needed.
