I bought two of these back in May when they were liquidating them to move to the new lineup.

I sold one of them to my brother to build his own subwoofer, and haven't come up with a reasonable project for the other one. I opened this one to check the receipt and my brohter opened the other one before I had a chance to keep at least one NIB.

I'm looking to get :SOLD: shipped for the Atlas 12. It will be shipped in its original container. Paypal is fine, but I can't accept credit cards through it yet.

If you have been contemplating building your own subwoofer, this one will fit most bills. I paired a Atlas 15 with a 240 watt P.E. plate amp last spring in an O.B. configuration for a client and it still provides a lot of low end for his home theater.

If you would like to do some research on it, take a look at their old site: http://www.ascendantaudio.com/archive/index.htm This is one of the drivers that utilizes the XBL2 technology.

There is a wealth of information available about this subwoofer, including different wiring configurations(dual voicecoils).

If you have any questions, please ask.

Thanks for looking.

I have an Atlas 15 collecting dust in my basement... :D

Actually, I have plans for it, but can't find the time to build anything. These are awesome drivers for the price. Make no mistake about it. Pair this Atlas 12 with the 240w from Parts Express (don't get any other plate amp; this one has 24db slopes and soft clip) and you are going to be in VERY good shape for a moderately sized room.

Early B. replaced the stock driver of his PB12-ISD with one of the Atlas 12's and had good results. Here is the thread: Modified SVS

I would think the Atlas 12 properly equalized would be an improvement over the 10, but that is my opinion. It would also cost you less money overall as well. $125 for the driver, $125 for the amp, and probably $50 for the box. That is lower than the SVS, plus it will probably sound better(if built and equalized properly).

An Atlas 12 will exceed the capabilities of the PB10. I built a friend a sub using an Atlas 15 and the results were pretty amazing. 8ft3 tuned to 21.4Hz with a 500W Parts Express Bash amp. It actually has more output than one of my CS Ultras. As mentioned earlier, the Avalanche is better still. It has a considerably lower Fs and more excursion but this also translates into lower efficiency which could be an issue depending on how much power you are going to be using.

As a sidenote, the sub has already cracked a window in my friends house. :D Fortunately, he was a good sport about it.
