Pics have been added. The car is at SEMA right now. There are no trunk pics yet because it is getting assembled as we speak.

They had to pull it off to load the Civic. All the cars were going to SEMA but they didn't have anything to do with us. There was actually two GT's on there...a red one and a white one.

That looks great guys. Youve outdone yourselves yet again.
I dig the color scheme a lot too, a little like the Momo Civic.
I like that you guys still keep the car practical and not turn it into anything but a car coughalpinecough.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

I'm sure the black they wanted to use was not the same as the black that Honda uses, and, I'm not sure, but it would make sense that silver would be easier to work on (easier to see what you're doing). It'd also be harder to paint orange over black than over silver, I'd imagine.George Grand wrote: »

if we're imagining, i'd imagine that it didn't really matter, cause the painter stripped the current paint to the metal beforehand anyhoo... but this is just one exhibit in the 'mueseum of diseased imaginings'... Well, I could see that and agree if most of the "black" on that car was actually black and not carbon fibre. Also, I don't think that particular shade of orange is in Honduh's lineup of available pigments. Add to that the fact that a show quality paintjob is just not available on a manufacturer's assembly line.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Wait a minute here, first you say this:neomagus00 wrote:they are, in a way, but the movie is a really condensed jumble of events from the books, plus a few things that aren't in there... i'm not sure you'd enjoy them, they're very sarcastic and dry humour, but one never knows...
and then you say this:neomagus00 wrote:heck, i loved em and i have to stand with cody here... he didn't say they sucked, he said that IF the books were like the movie, THEN he would hate them...
Which is it? You say that the books are like the movie "in a way" and then you imply that the books are not like the movie by restating that they would suck if they were like the movie?
It's got nothing to do with whether or not the books or the movie sucked. The movie wasn't that great compared to the books. The problem is though that the movie's model for the screen play was not the books but rather the BBC radio shows. The radio shows were the first iteration of The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy and the books were based on the radio series. Since the books saw a much wider distribution, the books are thought of as the original because very few people outside of England heard the radio shows. The problem is that the books are being compared to the movie and judgement is being passed when the books were not the inspiration for the movie, the radio show was.
The books are a different animal and do not contain all of the stuff that the radio shows did. Which is why there are some things in the movie that aren't in the books. They were in the radio show.
So again, I say, stop spouting off at the mouth and read the damn books before even thinking that they suck because "the movie sucked". You are only damning yourself to a poor experience by approaching it with that attitude. Read the books and get some culture in your life. You'll be a better person for it.
IMO, the movie didn't really suck. What sucked about the movie was that people who never read the books would not understand the characters because there was not enough character or plot development. What also sucked is that the movie was not based on the books but rather a radio show that almost no one in the states has ever even heard of. So even if you read the books, it was a little confusing. I liked the movie and the special effects were quite good. However, it needed at least another hour of screen time so that things like the whale and bowl of petunias spontaneously appearing over Magrathea where there was once heat seeking missles could be explained to the audience so they could appreciate the real humor behind it. I was the only one in the theater laughing at that point.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

The second part you quoted was Neo re-stating what i said
neo said this:
"he said that IF the books were like the movie, THEN he would hate them..."
"he" as in me. He never said anything that took away from his original statement, you my friend, misread it
IMO, if i were to read the books, im sure i would think they suck. Floating whales in the middle of the galaxy is not what i call a fun reading time. I'm more along the lines of Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George, Hardy Brothers, and cant forget Hank the Cowdog
All kidding aside, Ive read quite a few books, much more than other people my age have. I know what I would like and I know what I wouldnt, if the movie even had the same general idea as the books, which I've been told from multiple sources it has, then I wouldnt like them.
-CodyMusic is like candy, you have to get rid of the rappers to enjoy it -
No, dude, I did not mis-read anything. He said the books were like the movie then flip-flopped and said he "stood with Cody" to say that if teh books were like the movie then they would suck too. Yet he just said that he liked the books which would mean that he didn't think they sucked. The two posts are contradicting each other.
You, Cody, on the other hand, are just being an ****.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
Nah, he was saying that he liked the movie AND he liked the books. He then said he was with me in that if i did NOT like the movie, then i would NOT like the books.
basically, if you liked the movie, then youd like the books because they both complimented each other.
BUT if you didnt like the movie, then you probably wouldnt like the books, based on the same assumption that they complimented each other.
And me? an ****? never...
