Does anyone have any experience with the KEF Q90 towers?? I can get a pair for a reasonable price and just wondered if anyone knew anything about them. I already went to the KEF site and they had no info on that model. There were just a few reviews on them. I'd like to know if they're good with tubes or not.
I'm also hoping to trade some other speakers I have in storage for them.
Thanks

Noel I used to sell these...I think. What vintage are these? I remember when the "Q" concept first came out. I don't remember anything special about them. In fact I don't remember any listening impressions. Which means they didn't impress me one way or the other. I seem to remember they were a step down from the Reference Series at the time. I don't remember the store selling a whole lot of them at the time, but KEF certainly has/had it's followers. Are those the ones with the driver w/in the driver? (sorry about the pun). I know you're not within
This doesn't help much...I know

I just talked to the owner, and he bought them new in 1994. They have the two larger drivers with the tweeter inbedded in the top driver, I think that sounds right??? Anyways, I believe they are the largest of the Q floorstanders.
I'm just surprised that with all the experience we have around here that noone really knows anything about these."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
