I want to try a coaxial instead of optical on my dvd. Does anyone have one laying around they want to sell. (midpriced)

Hey snakebitten dont buy into snakeoil..... :)

any rca cable you have will work just fine, there is no benift to buying expensive digital coax cables that all sound exactly the same.

To be precise, any 75ohm RCA cable will work... ie video cables. Granted, for short runs it really doesn't matter so much.

Just a few issues about shielding and well fragile'ness?

depends on bends and the such. any 75ohm is correct but not any any rca terminated cable will work. I think signal cable has a in house trail...lemme see...yes they do you have to pay for shipping though. At that price though I wonder if it'll be worth it to ship it back

Its only about a 4ft run so the way I am understanding it really won't make a difference.
I cracked the yamaha dvd optical slot. Dont remember pulling on the cable but anyhoot it is in getting repaired. I thought while everything is unhooked I would try the coaxial when I get the yamaha back.

    Thanks, Ed

I haven't found one that hasn't worked yet. If you really do have an RCA terminated cable that isn't broken, and won't work for a "digital" connection, I'd like to see it.

I did have trouble with an AQ copperhead that would not work as a digital cable. Kept losing lock with my DAC. As soon as I substituted a cheapie video cable--BANG--locked on and stayed locked.
