Need gift ideas

We are planning on buying our goddaughter a gift for her first Bday. We want to make this gift extra special.
I am looking for ideas on what you have either given or recieved and thought, WOW that was the best gift ever.( for a 1 yr old)

    I have a goddaughter - and since she was born we have been buying a pearl- so when she is old enough, she will have a full pearl necklace. Just a thought!
