Sub Enclosure

I am extremely space limited fo a sub box. What are the drawdacks to running 2 subs in the same enclosure, meaning without a divider between the drivers? I am currenty running 2 2084's this way ( in a single box about .72 cu ft), and it sounds good but will be upgrading to 10's at some point if I can jam them in. I don't have much room fo a larger box!.

You dont need a divider as long as the total volume of the box covers what the 2 subs need which in your case it does.

If youre having a problem with space why not upgrade to a single 10? Rather than getting 2 300 watt 10's just get a single 600 watt 10. Itll sound the same and take up half the room.

My ten is housed in an enclosure about the same size as yours. It is very happy in there. For a 10" sub it sure does have a good amount of output. There are also some tens that require only .65 cubic feet to sound good.

You dont need a divider, but if one driver fails then you wont be able to use the box. Well you could use it but it would sound horrible.

just don't let one driver fail, that's all :) (and if one does, your bass will immediately drop to nil, and depending on how your amp is set up, you could have about four seconds until your other sub blows up, so if you suddenly hear no bass, turn it off asap :D)
