OK, could somebody explain to me why my CD player plays at a higher SPL than my DVD player? Gordo

Are you using a digital out on either of them? I've noticed that when using digital outs on my Sony CD and DVD players that the sound is louder than when you use the analog outs.

I would think that the output of the CD player is higher than the output of the DVD player. Look up the spec's, The amp is not changing it's power out so I would think that the input is higher.
But that is just my opinon, I could be wrong.
