At this point I think it's safe to say that we all have different opinions on the this subject. Time to agree to disagree before everyone gets too bent out of shape.

I have a brother that was diagnosed with ADHD at some point when he was yonger (he's 28 now)........personally though, i think he's just a dochebag in need of (more) jailtime. He's lazy, useless, and a mooch to EVERY person he interracts with. There's a reason I haven't talked to him in a few years......

Parenting is definitely THE major defining factor in how a child (read CHILD) grows up. Obviously a kid will sit in front of a computer or PS2 for hours a day, but to say that the child is totally responsible for that is like saying if you put a 5 gallon of ice cream in front of a kid you expect them to stop after a small bowl. Most of the time that's not gonna happen and unless you limit the amount of time (or ice cream), you're going to fall into the sad reality that you're not a parent, you're a babysitter.

When parents think that the Teens are the time to start parenting, they've already lost MAJOR ground with the kid, as well as their authoritative position. There's nothing wrong with being a friend to your kids......it's when you allow your "friendship" to overrun your REQUIREMENT to parent them that allows the kids of today to be the pieces of $hit they've become.

OK, once and for all, will somebody tell me why everybody left at once?

Im not in the loop I admit but will somebody please explain why, right after a very successful Polkfest, most of the vets jump ship?
