Looks like a good deal for the complete system. I'd love to hear this thing.

Man I wish I wasn't flat broke. Those would be awesome to own and unless the cosmetic damage was beyond being repaired, that seems like a steal @ $2500. Please somebody on the west coast buy these things, so that they are in the family. Then hopefully someday they will make into my home for a few years, then on to another members home.

Steve, I see you're up. Go get those bad boys.

Okay, I've cleaned my shorts. Noel, it must be a cell phone turned off. There is a recording that the number is not in service. I will do my best to get them.

If this is the system I think it is, check it out before you get too excited.
I'm pretty sure this is the system I looked at about a year and a half ago.
I made him a cash offer, which he thankfully, refused. The speaker cabinets were in very rough condition.
And he was in the process of applying wood putty to them when I arrived. He tried his best to get them hooked up properly, but as it was his brothers system he was struggling. I helped him get them running somewhat, but he was lacking many of the wires and connections necessary to make it work properly.
I made my offer and he thought about it, but ultimately said no.
I left somewhat dissapointed, but soon after, thanked my lucky stars,
for the last thing I need is "another project".
Last I heard, he was taking them to a cabinet shop to have them repaired.
But my impression was that he would do it on the cheap, so.............
    Now you know.

Drooling now but I had enough trouble convincing the wife that we had room the the RT3000's and barely managed to keep the CS1000 vs the CS400. Not sure I could sell these in our 14x16 living room. :( Too bad as I'd drive up to SF in a heartbeat.

Chalk up another set of Polk Audio speakers rescued from garage duty.

The seller is a cool guy and aware of our forum. We hooked them up and everything appears to function normally. According to him, they have been moved many times and there are a few cosmetic issues which I will spend the time restoring to near original condition. One sub foot screw is broken, one surround tweeter's mounting screw went through the bezel and the tweeter is loose. There are corner dings, scratched sides, and torn/frayed grille cloths.

There are a few others here with different SRT configurations, or at least they were at one time. It's hard sometimes to know if people that don't post often are gone or just lurking.

Of course I'm titillated I got these, but would have been nearly equally as happy if another member had. It's good to keep stuff like this in the family, not a dark lonely garage.

Off topic, Steve. Have you clear your inbox? It was full when I replied your PM last week. Your private email didn't work either :-)

Glad my post led to a good buy :)

You'll have to invite me over for a demo sometime when you're done with setup and positioning!

    Teehee hee :)

Congrats... those SRTs are an amazing set. They were the first SDA's I'd ever heard, unfortunately... now nothing I listen to compares to them. Luckily, I have a short memory, so the SDA2's I ended up with sound okay now :p
    Ludicrous gibs!
