Any linux geeks here?

hellohello

Im in class and this is the only forum i can get to, so what the hell. Im runnin both SuSE 9.3 and Fedora Core 2, both very nice. Ive been trying for the past few days to get fedora updated, i installed it earlier this week and it has 704 updates availiable. I tried adding different mirrors to the /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources file, since i figure the red hat one will be bogged down, and all it does is sit there on the "getting header file" dialog box. Ive read that it may take some time to get that header info, but i let it sit for hours on a T1 connection and nothing happens.. I had a bit of trouble at first getting the mirrors towork, no ftp's and u cant end the html string with a / or it gets pissy. Idk, im bored and kinda frustrated.
