Wow that thing seems flippin cool. it has a couple decent reviews on AR.com but considering its MSRP was 3000 I doubt there are much for reviews on the web.

Yes, it is a great deal. So good, in fact, I just ordered one just to serve as a monitor in my two channel system for DVD-A discs, although I'll probably use it for something else later. The FAP T1+ competes with the Rotel RSP-1098 on features and was priced above it's level earlier this year. I guess Rockford-Fosgate probably had more of these built than they've been able to sell because the company isn't known for home audio gear. Audio Advisor carried the brand very briefly earlier this year.

    Thanks for the heads-up!

I read up on this unit several months back, and if I were into HT, I would have jumped all over this one. Too bad they're all gone. It's a badass pre/pro, that would be all but impossible to top for the $$$ they sold it for on Woot, much less it's MSRP.

There are also a couple on Ebay, with one bid up to $1000 this morning. Apparently, Fosgate is getting out of the home theater component business. They also own MB Quart, and were selling off their U.S. market home audio gear earlier this year. Fosgate will be concentrating on their automotive products mainly. I understand the reason for the sale pricing now, since Fosgate must have wanted to get rid of 120 units quickly at one time rather than letting them trickle out into the market. The Woot.com ones have a one year warranty instead of the original five year warranty. In terms of real value in the used market six months from now, I'd guess probably $1100 to $1600 if there are no big reliability problems.

I checked out some of the other things sold at Woot.com--they sure seem to sell a bunch of junk there usually.

woot.com sometimes they have big items but it's a lot of 100 and under items.

Sometimes they have Infocus DLP Rear and front projection TV/projectors and well if they ever have something that is home audio/video related I'll post just in case because I check in every day or try to at least if they have something usefull because they sell so cheap and are actually legit.

Shameless bump. Those who ordered one of these, what do you think of it. Is it a good pre-amp? Would you compare it as better than (or equal to) the outlaw 990? For those of us who did not get in on the deal, is it worth purchasing for $1200 or so off the bay or gon?
