Anyone else try out the Panasonic XR55? or other digital path receiver?

After reading some great reviews on it I decided to pick one up and give it a try. I am loving it, though still needs some more time to break in. I am hearing details and parts of the music that i have never heard before. The clarity is amazing, though right not it is a little bright so I have the trebble turned down a couple notches. I hear it's supposed to remove that brightness as it breaks in.

Anyone thinking about it should really try this receiver out.

    How much is it? What else can you tell us about it - does it sound good real loud?

    It sounds great real loud. You don't really hear anything get lost or worsen when you turn it up. It also has dual amp, and bi-amp features so you can get quite a bit more power when listening to music. There also isn't any signal noise when you turn it up, it stays clear with no noise. Even the bass sounds much better with this receiver. Not louder but clean.

    For the price it's really worth picking up atleast to try out, if you don't like it you can always return it.

    I have been looking for a receiver for a while, tried out the HK525, Pioneer 1014, denon 2802, plus a couple others. I then was planning on getting a HK 435 if I could find one for under 400. I wanted the Auto EQ, and the component video input. But then read about this receiver online and picked one up just a couple days ago. I hear details I had never heard before in any of those other receivers, and not just small details like the pluck of a string, but background music that I didn't even know existed.

    I have now had it for longer, and it's still great I strongly recomend trying one out. When you can get such great sound out of a cheap receiver. I really think normal analog receivers are going to be taken over by these digital path receivers.

    I am now looking at picking up a pair of LSi7's somewhere I think they would go great with this. Plus then I can use the bi-amp when it's in two channel mode. Which should give me plenty of power.
