god i love those cars. My old '93 was the baddest car i've ever driven. And i've driven my fair share.

    Andrew,

The '93 body style is one of my all time favorite styles on any car by any maker.

Adobe acrobat reader isn't working for me, so if anyone could post a pic in another format, I'd be grateful!

    Thanks for the pics, jcaut.

I must admit that's not my first pick for model years, but it does look very clean. Nice burnout, too!

no my car was the touring model, not the r1 (thank god- that car would rattle your kidneys)

(edit) aside from wheels, everything was stock. Years back my cousin and I would take my rx and his 90zx to the Wilkes Co. runway late nights and wind them out. The fastest i ever got her was 130mph.

Of the Japanese GT sports cars from that era, ( RX-7, 300ZX, Supra, 3000GT) the RX-7 was the best looking of them all, imo.

    ahh memories.

The first time I was in a vehicle where we are above 140mph was an rx7. White special edition I do believe.

How much boost are you pushing? Stock?

Marky if you're asking about mine it was 10psi. The reliability on the car was terrible so I didn't do any aftermarket b.s. to it. It was fast enough. In retrospect, I wish the previous owner hadn't put on the r1 fore front air damn spoiler nor the rearwing. I think the car looks better without them both.

The rear wing, imo, definitely adds to it. I'm not so sure about the front spoiler, though.

i love the older versions myself, i have driven a later model, yeah it was ok but i found it just a little closed in,kind of small on the inside, but nice car aaharvel, it does look sexy, did you find it hard to keep clean because when i wash mine it looks awsome and when i come back after a days driving it needs another wash, and i agree the later models do look better without the spoilers, but my heart lies with the late 70's and early 80's models, im guess im into the nostalgic side of it, plus their cheaper to buy and then modify to what your needs are.

I bought a 1980 back in '82. Traded in my '74 Vette. The Vette was way cool to drive around in but the RX7 blew it away in the fun department. Great cornering ability and very fun manual transmission.
