Went and saw this movie w/ the GF this weekend. It was an enjoyable movie, even for two 19 year olds w/ no kids :).

This would be a great movie for any of you parents to take your kids to, because there's enough in the movie to keep you laughing too. There was some implied adult humor (clean, but stuff kids wouldn't understand) that you could tell only the adults were laughing at :). We went and saw it because I've always been a fan of Aardman's movies...

I was slightly disappointed that they resorted to some Hollywood effects in a scene or two. One explosion in particular was sad to see. It just didn't feel right in the movie. Especially considering all of the original Wallace and Gromit shorts didn't have such things. But make no mistake, 99.9% of the movie is claymation, and up to the typically high standards of Aardman. There's one part where W&G slosh their coffee mugs together, and the coffee actually runs down the outside of the cup :)

Anyway, bottom line is that I enjoyed the movie, and was almost worth the $8/ticket to get in... And that's saying something from me, as this is the second movie I've seen in theaters in two years (other being Passion of the Christ, which I was forced to go see, so wasn't really my choice).
Ludicrous gibs!

Yes, October 10th. There are several articles to be found on Google about the fire, including pictures. Essentially, they lost all their history in that fire. The warehouse was the archives for Aardman. Pretty sad, but Nick Park is quoted as saying that it was no big deal, considering all the other tragedies occurring around the world with hurricanes and earthquakes and such.
