Old Rm1000 With Newer Equipment

I am new to the forum and currently upgrading my system. I have an old RM1000 sub and would like to use it until I can upgrade. I don't have any documentation on the RM. My receiver is an Onkyo TX-SR601. Anyone have any experience with the older RM and newer receivers? I am about to upgrade my center and looking at the CS2. Any ideas or suggestions?
