DAMN...
I just saw my neighbors brand new Mercedes get stolen from right in font of my house...

I was sending a pm to opus, and I look out the window of my office, and see a car with the lights out backing up the hill/street real fast..

Then I hear the neighbor yell.."HEY"..and start to run after it..
The two sons of the neighbor jump in their car and gat after it, as the car is only 3/4 of a block away...

They just got back , and said he was blowin red lights , and driving way too crazy to catch...then lost him on the freeway...

Cops are here ..gotta go...

Damn, that must really suck. For the owner anyways. The thief probably thinks otherwise.

Wow. I think you did, too! Man, I'd be countin' my lucky stars! And buying some flame throwers to install on your car and a shotgun to run outside with when they come for the M3!!

Oh, and nice car, by the way. What year is it?

    believe me...the 12 is loaded

    so is the .45....

I have no problem with "unloading" either one.. ;)

I`m installing some floods on motion detectors tomorrow, so I`ll have a better target..

This used to be, and still mainly is, a quiet neighborhood..

up until now , I thought I had it under control, but somehow I must be slipping..

I thought that the new Mercedes were kinda real hard to just "steal"..?

The ol guy next door said he probably left the door unlocked, but still...

    me too..

poor old guy just got it not too long ago..
He had an old hooptie for so long that it just died, so with the help of his two sons, he got his dream car...

The boys chased the assbag thief all the way to the freeway, through red lights...the whole reckless car chase thing, but those cars are serious driving machines...no chance in hell of catchin it..

Like you said...I hope it doesn`t get totaled before he gets it back
he`s a real nice older guy..

    I hate thieves...

~$50k mercedez...$300 for an alarm. 0.6% cost of the car. Sorry, but unless he had an alarm, no sympathy here.

They have sofisticated antitheft systems installed from the factory.
The keys alone are a **** and a half to replicate/replace.

Thieves are way ahead of the game guys. They were probably just filling an order. I seriously doubt that the car will ever be recovered...at least not in one piece.

leaving your car unlocked is no excuse. buy an alarm, even the cheaper ones have automatic arming.

Most of the time alarms pay for themselves if you keep your car for about 3 years or so because you can get a discount on your insurance.

The best way to secure any vehicle is by encasing it in concrete.
or better yet use the alarm system advertised in one of the robocop flicks where the thief gets burned to a crisp while trying to steal the car..

You have to get the keys from Germany. They cost about $500 to replace, cause of the remote and key are all in one and are plasma cut. We lost a set for a Crossfire(see SLK) at a dealership I worked at and it cost the dealership $360 each to replace them and they came from Germany.
An alarm will only deter the amateurs

    They're called theft deterent systems.
This means that they deter not prevent any vehicle from being stolen.

im not saying that couldnt get it, but id like to see them do it. The alarm im picking up next month is the best on the market right now. I do my own installations as well. Its going to have 5 piezo sirens in the cab, 2 sirens under the hood, one with a battery backup. The brain will be very well hidden, and there will be an extra brain under the dash as well for **** and giggles. I'm not saying itll be impossible to steal, but itll be one of the most extensive alarm systems out there

The best low tech tool to steal a car is.....
    A tow truck/flat bed....

btw,its also great for motorcycles thefts too...

I've seen many cars towed with blaring horns, sirens, flashing lights without rousing any type of suspicions.

So when the effers throw you out of the car and start driving away will you have a remote in your pocket to disable the car half way down the street? Gotta keep up with the times when it comes to theft.
