I was at the Honda dealer today servicing my Accord, and saw the new Civic EX coupe; BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I walked closer to see the price tag... 21 Fu$$'ng dollars!!!! Base was something like 19,000 with a couple of extras (spoiler, wheels....).
Really nice little car...but I don't think they'll sell too many
Edit; Just add ,000
Changed the picture also...got a nicer one.

This is the one with 200 horsepower, right?
The price is about right. Watch out for the insurance rate though. I am thinking of getting a 4 door to replace my Camry. -

The picture is the SI..but the one I saw at 21K was the EX, with the "normal" 140 HP or so. A great little car, but I think the price is getting into higher leagues......._________________________________________________

the SI (200hp) will run upwards of 24k. I'm a huge honda guy but they're getting retarded with their prices. Great looking and performing car, for 20k... not 24. I know they said they slanted the windshield farther back than any other honda, even 1.5 degrees more than the NSX. Impressive.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener. -

2001 Camry LX w/ 4 cylinder and auto. It's a very nice car and ultra-reliable, but it's kind of....how should I say this....dull.
The dealer will probably not come down from the sticker price since the 2006 Civic is brand new. I'd take a regular 140 hp LX 4-door....40 mpg on the freeway!! -
That's a good year for the Camry. I like that year's styling.George Grand wrote: »

I like the styling too, but the ride is too soft and the steering is too light. Otherwise, it has adequate power (same as the 2006 Civic LX) and gets great gas mileage. -
I think it looks like a cross between a Saturn and Mitsu.

Same here, at first I thought it was a Saturn and was a mistake. I'm sure that it's a much, much better car than a Saturn, though."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Honda's have a great rep, you cant kill those engines. Cars, motorcycles, ATV's. My dad had a 1989 Honda Shadow 1100 I sold to a friend of mine, bike looks beautiful and that engine will run FOREVER!. my 1996 300ex ATV refuses to die despite my best efforts to kill it.
the above might justfy the orice, emphasis on might. lest we forget that there is tough competition in that car class. The corolla is one sweet ride (my wife has the sport) and we all know how reliable Toyota is. over 30 mpg highway. granted, the sentra sucks, but the Mazda 3 series is a sweet little car, and the same platform as my Volvo S40 and Ford Focus. The focus is another small car that gets rave reviews.

I had the 2004 EX - fully loaded - and it cost me about $16,500 - but MSRP was $18,500. So, the price seems right inline considering the new engine.Receiver: Denon-3802

The '06 Civic seems more like an Accord than a Civic. Honda's trying to make the Civic more upscale, and Autoweek says they'll be bringing a new entry- level model to the States (think Scion) soon.
Anyway, it's way nicer than any previous Civic, even of the windshield is ten times bigger than the hood. -

my '96 civic ex stickered @ 17k...if that put's today's price in perspective..the car has 141k on it...this past weekend we took it on a 600 mile trip to blow the dust out...no problems at all...cruising 75-85 the whole way...got 35 mpg!...this car has never broken...i can't bring myself to replace it...i keep saying 'when the ac goes', but that still works, too!..i'm glad i'm past the age that i gotta have a new car just to look good

That is basically what Nissan did with the Altima. The year it came out, several people said it was almost competing with the Maxima. Of course, then they came out with another Maxima to "outclass" the Altima. I'm not sure if that is Honda's goal, just an observation from past developments.
I still miss my AltimaTschüss

I have a 98 Civic. It just cracked 100k this week. The thing runs like a pro. Its never once run poorly. I love the look of the new one. It looks very much like a sportier Accord. I totally don't need it, but its tempting to think about getting one.

Wow, I just saw the exhaust. WTF would someone do that??? Why not just go out and get a '53 or '54 instead of ruining a perfectly good car......unless it was a wrecked chassis to begin with."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
