Water in ATRIUM55's

Earlier this summer I bought a pair of ATRIUM 55 outdoor speakers for our deck. Last weekend I decided to unhook them to bring them in for the winter. As I unhooked them, I discovered that there is water sloshing around inside them!

Is this a problem?

How can I empty the water out? Just turning the speakers over onto their tops does not do it.

Thanks for any insight you can offer!

Call Ken Swauger at Polk, he will fix you up, they are not supposed to have water in them.

Hi, that is not normal. The #1 cause of water intrusion in the Atrium speakers is through the threaded inserts for the brackets. Making sure the knobs are tightly secure, or sealing the threads using teflon tape or thread sealer is a good idea.

In the mean time, you can send the speakers to our service center:
    Polk Audio
    2550 Britannia Blvd
    Suite A
    San Diego CA 92154

Include a note with your name, address, phone number, brief description of the problem and a copy of your sales receipt.
