I am thinking about upgrading my center channel speaker and welcome any feedback that I can get. I am still very happy with my front RT10 speakers and I want to find the right center channel to match with these speakers.
  • Fronts: RT10
  • Center Channel = CS275
  • Subwoofer = PSW350
  • Surrounds = FX300i
  • Rear Back Surrounds = FXi3

The csi3 or csi5 will blend in nicely with your RTi10's. In fact they are the matching center for the RTi series.

If money is permitted I highly suggest purchasing the csi5.

RT10's are different than RTi10's. The RT10's were made in the mid/late 90's with a soft dome tweeter and a 7.5" woofer.

The CSi3 or CSi5 would compliment the RT10's because it is still a soft dome tweeter, however the CS275(if I remember correctly) did not mate with the RT10's either. The CS275 has the trilaminate dome tweeter, where the CS250 and CS225 have the same soft dome tweeter as the RT10's.

If you want to keep them within the same time frame and still step up in size, look for a used CS350 or maybe even a CSi400, which both have the trilaminate dome. Even the CSi40 would match reasonably well, again since it has the soft dome tweeter.

    Those are some quick suggestions.

    Have fun in your hunt.

Thanks everyone. I'm trying the CSi5 that I got today. I can already tell a big improvement over my old CS275.
