Just sayin hello again. Cuz i haven't been around since I finished getting my Polk Momo stuff into the car. I haven't posted, but am always lookin at the threads and stuff. Just thought i would stop bein a troll and say hello to u guys.

My mmc6500's are awesome - like concert speakers- i opened up the front doors one day, took the remote to my deck, and walked far away, turnin it up as i go, and i swear it was huge concert sound with no distortion at all. i could never turn them up that high in the car without hurtin the ears a lot. So, just thought i'd share that with you guys :)

I dont have rear speakers, just the stock ones running off the deck. no problems so far, maybe change em out later for fill? i was told the best sq would be w/out rear speakers, so i didn't buy any.

Waitin for the new line of sweet Polk stuff to come out. Whenever that may be !!

Later guys,

John

Awesome set-up you have there! Glad you're liking it!

The 6.5" SR series components are already out! But the MMC's are nice, too, so I wouldn't worry about upgrading.

And I wouldn't worry about rear fill, either, unless you carry passengers around a lot.

I've forgotten - what do you have your gear installed in?

well i got a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS ... so the subs sound real good cuz they are in the same room as me, instead of in a trunk. I saw those sr6500's and think Mac should give me his :) just waitin for new amps and subs to come out. then we'll see!
oh and thanks for the compliments. i do like it a lot, it always impresses all my friends too. next im thinkin some sound deadening would help. later

Sound deadening would definitely take it to another level, and seeing how purdy you're sitting with your equipment (and assuming it's all tuned/set-up properly), sound deadening is probably the most logical next step. However, I imagine your car came with pretty adequate deadening from the factory.

You dont really apply damping to quieten the car but rather to stop vibration and resonation of all those pesky plastic panels. Applying a ton of Dynamat to the door panels alone makes a noticeable difference in SQ.
