If you have a sub, then get the components, if not then just stay with the 6x9's.

Go with the 6x9s. However, you may want to listen to some Infinity's before you buy them as they are very bright and thin sounding. Ive had a set of em and didnt like them at all. If you listen to any heavy metal or hard rock those Infinitys are not gonna be pleasant to listen to.

True, but I did notice on some CD's like Tori Amos or 10,000 Maniacs they wored ok but you stick some meaty guitars in there and its ugly.

im more into pop and slow music and infinity is just fine for that however my subs are turned off 90% of the time thier mostly just thier for impressing girls. ive noticed that theirs a difference in bass when comparing 6x9s and 6.5s and another thing is that stuff isnt so cheap here in canada and u cant really find the deals like down in the states. the 6.5 infinity components are $300 canadian plus tax and the 6x9s are $200 so thats y i was wondering what i should go with---> whats the difference?
    thanx

Components cost more because they are better speakers. They use better materials, have a better tweeter and have a much better crossover. Plus you have more flexibility in where you can mount your tweeters so you can get better imaging as well.

So if you can afford the components you will get better performance from them.

I dont think you should spend that much money just on rear speakers. If you dont have good front speakers, then spend the money on that first. I believe most SQ competition cars dont even use rear speakers anyways, & if they do they are turned down a good bit compared to the fronts.
