The Irish Get Hosed

Did anyone see that USC / Notre Dame game? I'm not usually a college football person, and even when I am, I don't particularly like the Irish (team, not nationality :D). But I'm a big fan of Charlie Weis (former Patriots Offensive Coordinator), and I wanted to see him upset USC and their big win streak. Plus there was so much hype I just HAD to tune in.

Anyways, what a game! Came down to the last second, and some very confusing (but I guess correct) calls. Notre Dame basically had it won, were celebrating on teh field, but turns out it was all for naught, as there were still 7 seconds left and USC had the ball on the Irish 2 yard line - touchdown, and USC wins.

Heartbreaker.

    That was a game for the ages...call was right on,I was pulling for the Irish,it would have helped the DAWGS if USC went down...oh well,USC is the best in the land,and I go back to hating ND

    I was at work when I heard everyone "hootin' and hollerin" so I went to check it out. It was right after the 60-whatever yard pass on 4th down. Pretty crazy ending!

    It's always a good day when either USC or Notre Dame loses! This was a can't miss game for me..the only thing that might be better would be if they tied.

    As we are walking out of the Texas pounding of Colorado we were trying to get game reports...of course we want usc to lose so we take over the top ranking, after all we have a tougher schedule and a tougher more versitile QB in Vince Young. When I saw the replays and reviewed the ncaa rules (assisting a runner) I was sick...of course they were using pac 10 officials..Lienert played a mediocre game at best including 2 interceptions. The Irish clearly beat them if you look at the game stats...kudos to those guys they played their tails off. If usc wins out and we see them in Pasadena come January 4th I firmly believe we will pound their rear ends...like we did Michigan in the rose bowl and Ohio state earlier this year....btw we will have met 5 ranked teams at the end of the regular season this year. And as much as I hate to say it Cody Hodges of Texas Tech is SCARY...643 passing yards..wow, why is this guy not a heisman contender. Hats off to the Irish and I hope The Longhorns can avenge their loss later this year.

    USC & ND game was great!

    Anyonee from the midwest and see the wild game between Minnesota and Wisconsin? Minnesota dominated had 400+ rushing yards, but lost the game when the punter dropped the ball "shouldn't have had popcorn - Longest Yard" and Wisconsin blocked it for a TD, then the next play, the kick returner fumbled the ball to end the game. WOW. A wacky game!
