g.day all, I noticed that a number of Polk members profile have some or nothing regarding interests,hobbies,etc, and also many do not allow the abillity to email them direct. Is there a reason for this or am I missing? something

Well one main reason for hiding your email address is to prevent spam. Spam "bots" often troll websites like this and grab *@*.* or whatever... meaning it grabs any email address and instantly adds it to a spam list.
Thats the reason I have mine hid.

Calm your jets man.
We offer that option here so people can do it if they please, but I find that the amount of "**** spam" I get as a reward for filling in my email address everywhere is completely annoying (altho, somewhat strangely interesting as well...).
If you wanna contact someone, simply pop a post on the thread and ask them to email you offline (outside the forum, as I did to you... Any news on that 12v front I asked you about?).
