Oh yeah... bought a half gallon at the local fair the other weekend. Was good 'til it started getting a little bitey. We got another half gallon over the week from the local orchard. Mmm.. good stuff. Unpasteurized, and so damn good.

Totally agree. I miss the benefits of the rural area-Fresh Apple Cider & later going to the Sugar Bush for Maple Syrup.

    There's nothing quite like a hot Dicken's cider! :D

The Dicken's Fruit Co. makes a great product.

I stuck a glass of cider in the microwave the other day and it changes the taste.....like it takes away the apple sweetness. Mmmm, maybe I microwaved it too long. :p

My best friend's back yard, growing up, was the largest apple orchard in the state of Ohio. Good thing his next door neighbor owned it. He allowed us to go back there whenever we wanted and take whatever we wanted. My Dad really enjoyed it because we'd come home with laundry baskets full of apples, and knowing how my Mom doesn't like to waste, that meant she had a LOT of apple pies to make! :D

I'm soooo glad you mentioned this...I have an 86 year old mother in law who makes a killer homemade pie, time to go back for apples this time. :D
