Oh, and did I mention....
That is absolutely unbelievable. HOWEVER, it seems to me it was a very stupid move on the snake's part. I would think he's rendered completely defenseless during that little meal. I mean, from the pictures, it looks like I could walk up and pet his nose (or slap him, or poke his side, or slice it open, or w/e), and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. I bet they're strong, but when he's got 50 pounds in his throat, I don't imagine he'd move very fast.George Grand wrote: »

I'm waiting for someone to come on and debunk the pics as a hoax telling us that is only a relatively small snake eating a Kangaroo Rat or a small wallaby. Just for S&G I did a quick search and found the Australian Scrub Python averages 11' to 15' (largest reported is 8.5M or 27.8') and to have been know to eat a small Kangaroo."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

27.8 feet?!?!?!?!

Ive watched enough Crocodile Hunter so Im a snake expert. Yes that snake is completely vulnerable while feeding however he can puke that kangaroo up very fast if he feels threatened and take care of business.
On CH once, Steve happened upon a spitting cobra that was feeding on another snake. The cobra puked that snake back up and was ready to go a few rounds in seconds.
Damn snakes are cool. Id **** myself if I ever got within 20 feet of one that size but theyre still cool.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

Damn you can see in the corners of its mouth where it it appears to have ripped from stretching too far. snakes TRY to eat everything head first, but believe me, my old snakes were really only about 75% head first. Sometimes it's from the rear and once I even saw one of my snakes eat it from the side and break it in half. It was a pretty nasty sound but a very strong Columbian Red Tail Boa.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

Wow. I'd love to witness that and hear the sound. Of course, I'd probably wish I hadn't afterwards, but having not heard it, sounds like it'd be interesting.George Grand wrote: »
