Dumb hook-up question

I have just bought wonderful polk audio monitor 30 speakers. Only problem is, that I cannot find in the user manual instructions regarding the two separate sockets that are found in the rear of each speaker. I have plugged the speakers to the receiver using one socket, but what do I do with the second one?

Thanks for helping!

Hi maariv! welcome to the forums!

As long as the gold "jumpers" are in between both sets of binding posts- you are fine by just hooking the speakerwire to 1set. Either one is fine. If you remove the gold jumpers, then the top set represents the midrange driver and the bottom set represents the tweeter. Congratulations on your purchase and welcome!

You'll find alot of information pertaining to your speakers AND to Polk Audio in general on these forums. Don't be a stranger.

Please note that aaharvel is not telling you to remove the jumper. Leave it on, you might replace it someday with actual wire.
