Talent and the fact that no judge wants to be the one that put James Brown in prison for life, is what has kept him from his third strike. If I remember correctly, the judge that put him away the first time received death threats for months after the verdict and sentencing.
There needs to be a place that we can put all of our old, "criminally insane " musicians, movie stars and athletes after they're all washed up, for their own protection. We can let them out to perform every once and a while if the demand warrants it.

The 'man' has so much talent it's a shame to have seen him self-destruct this past decade or so. I get his stuff out once in awhile and just get my foot tapping and have a big grin on my face....can't help it...it's as funky as it gets .
