Well, I can sure make a case for extended warranties! After 8 attempts to repair it, Ultimat Electronics replaced my 4 year old 60" rear projection (CRT) Mitsu tv. What with you ask? The new 62" DLP WD-62628!!! I must say I am shocked and amazed. I'll post some pics of the sweet new set ASAP!!

LOL, I had considered that when i bought the set, but while I am VERY PC knowledgeable, my expertise in TV mechanics is...well..somewhat lacking. i prolly would have F'ed it up and they would have found out and I would have been screwed so i said forget it!! And loandbehold...it broke anyway. -
