Vintage Polks for sale

I'm trying to raise some cash so I can afford to get the amp I want, instead of settling and having to upgrade again in the near future.
So, I'm going to offer up my Monitor 10As w/ Peerless tweeters. They are in pretty nice shape for their age, with only minor scuffs and scrapes and the normal vinyl rolling around the back edges. One of them has had a driver replaced with a 6503 from Polk. It's the shinier one. They have the stands, but NO GRILLS!!! Sonically perfect!!!!

Also up for sale are my RTA 8TLs. They are in absolutely remarkable shape for a 14 year old speaker. One has had the silk replacement put in and the other still has the SL2500. Honestly, since they are used in my "STATE OF THE ART 2.1 HT" , I can't hear any audible difference in them. One would probably still want to get the other replaced or find another SL2500.

The RTA's grills have some very minor snags that could be snipped off very easily and one has less than a 1/32" spot on one of the corners where the vinyl is loose, another easy fix.
Sorry, but these are for local pick-up only. Will consider delivering them, within a reasonable distance, to be determined.
As for prices, well I'm just trying to get what I have in them.
Price Reduction:
The Monitor 10As...$130
the RTA 8TLs........$155
Also, as usual with me, interesting trades will be considered. I would also consider using these as partial payment towards an amp or tube cdp or dac.
Thanks again for shopping at Noel's Pre-Owned Audio Gear

Out of curiosity, what amp are you aquiring? I thought you were going with tubesJC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I'm going to either see Klaus with Odyssey about one of his ss amps or look at ordering one of those McAlister 75wpc tube amps like SCompRacer and Normanality have and that Madmax is ordering. Haven't made the final decision. There are pluses and minuses to each. Now that I have the MLP on the way, I'm not so certain that I should go all tube, ss, or even hybrid. As Vinny from "WELCOME BACK KOTTER" use to say, " I'm sooooo confuuuused"
The major drawback to the McAlister is NO INSTANT GRATIFICATION. It might take several months before I would get it."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Wow....those are really nice speakers....and you can trust Noel!!! I would grab them, but then I don't need them and am really looking to save some money to get the fxi's for my HT.
I can offer picking them up and bringing them back to Mason (Cincinnati area) if this helps someone make a shorter trip...cannot think of a better excuse to go listen to Noel's rigs..._________________________________________________

too bad indy is so far from boston... i would love to have either of those. too bad they are so big as well, i would think shipping would probably be just as much as you are asking for either of them.

I hope we aren't talking about old wangotango/trigg here. Muncie is only 45 minutes south of Ft. Wayne (home of the dumbest people in the USA).

I got your email. I've tried to reply but to no avail. Please PM me on here or email me again so we can make arrangements to meet this weekend about the Monitor 10s.
You also don't allow for PMs to be sent to you.
Thanks,
Noel
