The plans changed, since Whipple dropped the ball on producing a twin-screw and the only Steeda authorized dealer in Kansas likes to charge people OVER msrp. So, I went the Saleen route.

Now I got: Saleen Series VI Twin-Screw Supercharger, Saleen suspension (shocks, springs, sway bar), Saleen hood with functional heat exchanger, Saleen fascia, BMR Adjustable pan-hard rod, Pioneer in-dash DVD, with Polks all the way around and dual Polk 15" subs.

Here's what she'll look like a month from now:

Get nicer looking wheels and some more radical side skirts (to better match the front bumper/fascia), it'd look really nice. Color-keyed mirrors wouldn't look bad, either, but Ford wouldn't be that nice.

I really like the hood and grill. But when your eye moves back from there, it looks old, plain, and fleet car-ish in comparison to the front of the car.

Anyhoo, with that supercharger, some suspension upgrades, and some better brakes, I know what you'll be doing every weekend for a few months!!

    AB,

That's an akward angle to judge the looks from. I do agree about the wheel package.

    I wouldn't go larger than 18".

Saleen is a MUCH BETTER option than Steeda IMO. Too bad you couldn't have picked up one from Steve's shop. $38,000 for the 3 valve and $48,000 for the basic supercharged version....

IMO that looks much better because of the side skirts and wheels. (The rear bumper also looks great, but I couldn't see the rear bumper on PolkThug's, so I'll refrain from comparing them.)

madmax - You're right that it's a retro thing, and I like that; that's cool. However, those wheels are too small, flat, and 2-dimensional to go well with that look. There are plenty of retro wheels that would go better with that car. Though, personally, I wouldn't go retro with the wheels because none of the rest of the car is retro (referring to the fascia, grill, etc.) and so doesn't seem to be the major theme.

Yeah those are The Bullit style wheels that were copies of the old Torq-Thrust Ds of the 60s' and 70s'. Ford has used them on a lot of Mustangs lately. A good looking wheel for sure but I would go for the Saleen wheel to complete the package.

I like those wheels, kind of a throwback design. My dad had a 67 fastback with wheels that looked similar.

Yep, you guys are mentioning all the things I've been thinking about. I'll have to see how all the lines come together once its actually assembled. The rear will look like the stock GT, I hate the big plastic panels that Saleen puts on the back.

I'm trying to keep it fairly simple and functional (hence no bogus rear spoiler). The big space in the lower front fascia will house the heat exchanger for the intercooler, the small intakes on the lower L/R will eventually be inlets for the brake duct coolers.

I love the wheels, also, just not with that particular body kit is all. The Bullet wheels are great on the stock GT, but look out of place on the Saleen kit.

I have to say though, on looks alone I would have to pass on the one shack posted. I do like the "original" and also the cobra. ;)
