The ported box for a db 12 is 1.5 and I was going to do a 3cubic foot common chamber for my 2 12s. I was wondering if I use 2 ports or 1 or if I should use a slot or square port and if so, what size?

freeow... h'okay, for complex boxes like this, you want a modelling program... Unibox is a good one, needs 2002 excel or better... winisd PRO is better, but with a learning curve like K2... i personally like slot ports, it gets them out of the way better, and allows you to use the walls of the box to wrap the port around the inside...

as far as a guess goes, i believe that if you have a box design for 1 12, you can simply stick two together and have it work well... i.e. 3.0 ft^3, with two ports of whatever length, instead of one... if the box plan you have has circular ports, you have to keep the same cross-sectional area to keep the same port length, if you change one you must change the other to keep the tuning constant...

PS... K2 is a mountain that's nearly as tall and much much more difficult to top than everest...
